THE GOOD,THE BAD AND THE UGLY 2008

The year 2008 is coming to an end so Rob and I thought about a summary of some punk/hc related stuff which went down this year.Here is my side of the story:

My favorite concerts I went to in 2008 come first.It weren't that much because of work,being tired,in a bad mood or just not interested:

Beside coming out of Great Britain what else have all three series in common?Let me know.

On the negative side we have:

- The closing of some important youth centres like the Ungdomshuset in Kopenhagen,the JUZ Dampfmühle in Verden and the try to shut down the Köpi in Berlin.Just some examples where the state again tries to take away our opportunities for self organisation and independence.

- We at the headquater already made it clear that we don't like blogs which only list a downloadlink and show no dedication towards making good posts which does the music the actual justice it deservs.basically these blogs can go to hell!
We do it because we think ist's important to support the music AND the message!

- Like always the trend of the hardcore and punk community to eat itself up.With this I mean the intolerance of all the little subgenres which seem to exist.Crust,Punk,Hardcore,Powerviolence,Youth Crew,Old School,New School,Sludge,D Beat,Fastcore,whatever.It's still the same (at least to me) so get along and work together.
I better stop because I'm drowning in PMA now...
