BOXED IN - First 7"

Boxed In came from Leeds in the United Kingdom and played raw and fast hardcore.Ripcord,Geriatric Unit,Sawn Off and Health Hazard (all from the U.K.) come to my mind listening to the songs."Boxed In" itself is a songtitel from Sawn Off.
Beside having ex members of Doom,OI Polloi,Sawn Off,Ebola,Minute Manifesto,Status Quo and Embittered in the band the last song is a cover by Anti-Cimex so that should give you a glimpse of what to expect.
You will find no melodies or backups here-just plain fast and ugly stripped down hardcore.Boxed In didn't gave names to their singles so its like this:First,second,third 7" and so on.
I don't know if the band still exists.This 7" was released in 2002 on Crime Scene Records.Boxed In also released a 12" and another 2 7"'s on Busted Head Records from Sweden and Heartfirst Records from Germany that I know of.I've got all of the records mentioned so if you want I can upload more.

"The name Boxed In has a number of meanings beyond the original concept of being depressed,fucked up and hating the world.Like being boxed in on an officer floor (on fire with no option but to burn,choke or jump to death) or in a hospital or school destroyed by missiles.In a refugee camp/centre,shanty town,an overflowing prison or by borders between rich and poor.Crammed into the back of a truck dying of suffocation,being persecuted for seeking asylum.The media builds the fear and perpetuatates stereotypes.Another box to put you in.Divide and rule!"
