Let me take you back once again to the 90'ties.Here comes another new school record in the vain of already mentioned bands like Indecision,Unbroken,Left with Nothing or Dragbody.
Surprisingly I also hear a small hint of Turning Point/Wide Awake because Burst of Silence throw in a fast part from time to time.Other bands which come to my mind: Deadwait,Holdstrong,Conviction,Undertow or Canon.As you can see i have a soft spot for this kind of music.I think i also have to blog the Deadwait 7" in the near future listening to it right now!
Back to Burst of Silence:These songs were recorded in 1993 and came out on Stability Records.The recording itself is sort of muddy and dirty in a good way.It's not that polished like other New School/Metal stuff so i like that.
The band came from Ontario,Canada.
Burst of Silence recorded a lot more (another single and a whole LP) but never released any of this.I remember listening to the LP recordings a long time ago.A friend of mine got a copy of it from another friend and I really liked the songs.
SO IF ANYONE,I MEAN ANYONE CAN HELP ME TRACK DOWN THE "LOST" RECORDINGS OF THIS LP I WOULD BE VERY GLAD!I MEAN REALLY GLAD!
